Free training opportunity with international experts from 14 to 17 September 2010 in Friesach under the title “culinary art: history and marketing strategies” is for the first time in 2010 the summer school in Friesach, Carinthia instead. From 14 to 17 September 2010, experts from Germany, Austria and Slovenia and others provide insight into the foundations of medieval food, cookbooks and recipes from the middle ages and the early modern period. Also the marketing opportunities for traditional cuisine in the modern tourism are an issue. The 4-day summer school is the practical part where on hochosterwitz Castle medieval dishes are prepared according to original methods of Michael Strauss and Peter Lutz and then together tasted. Peter Lutz is author of numerous books on the medieval kitchen and held successful cooking seminars on the Ronneburg (Hesse). In addition to Peter Lutz, also Dr.
